1. Educate yourself

What is veganism?

Veganism is an ethical stance which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

What is speciesism?

The term speciesism is first used in the 1970s to describe discrimination against nonhuman animals.

Speciesism is the moral discrimination based on difference of animal species, in analogy with racism or sexism among humans that are based on morally irrelevant physical differences. Speciesist discrimination presupposes that the interests of an individual are less important because of the fact of belonging to a given animal species.

What is abolitionism?

Abolitionism describes a particular focus on the rights of animals. Unlike other common ideologies in animal´s rights, abolitionism focuses on the use of animals and not on the way we treat them.
